Gen Z’s gut glow-up, golf explosion, and etiquette school for the cubicle set.

Fibermaxxing: A glow up for your gut |
Only about 7 % of U.S. grown-ups actually hit their daily fiber target. Cue fibermaxxing, the trend that’s got Gen Z stacking beans, lentils, whole-grains, and fiber supplements into every meal to keep gut, blood sugar, and hunger in check. But if you’re going to give it a go yourself, remember to hydrate, or brace yourself for bloating. |
Fore Gen Z & the ladies |
Gen Z isn’t finding golf through country clubs—they’re finding it on YouTube. The PGA is zeroing in on a reimagined golf that’s less “tie and trim” and more “shorts, streetwear, and sick trick shots.” Happy Gilmore 2 couldn’t have asked for a premier with better conditions. Golf is also experiencing growth among women. They’re teeing off en masse with the number of women golfers increasing 41% since 2019. Women now make up 28% of on-course golfers, which is the highest percentage ever. But they’re not just hitting the local links, they’re incorporating courses into their vacation experience. Resorts are responding with women-centric clinics, group lessons and spa package tie ins. |
Go ahead and add “bathing” to your resume |
It’s hard to read the room if you’ve never been in the room. As more companies push return to office policies, employers are hiring etiquette coaches for their Gen Z employees who are struggling to find their way in corporate life. Etiquette coaches and workshops cover everything from eye contact to bathing rituals. Maybe those coaches will tackle the whole Gen Z stare thing. |
Fast & Luxurious |
Formula 1 is another sport with popularity being driven by Gen Z and women. I recently saw Formula 1 shirts on sale at American Eagle in the mall. But if you need more proof than that, 70% of Gen Z fans say Formula 1 represents a status or image that appeals to them. Much like golf, they’re gateway into the sport is through social media and digital content that connects them to drivers and narrative drama between them. |
